lace and reflective space

I'm viewing potential remnant material in my reflective space.  It is exhausted as a table cloth, but what potential does it offer for future iterations?  Viewing from various perspectives and focal points reveal the material expression of the lace and its relationship to place.

aprons that pop

This is Pop: Workwear back at the cutting edge.  Featuring aprons from maison martin margiela.  This spread speaks to me as a hybrid of the domestic and renovations.  Maybe this is what my life and practice could look like!

aprons that gather

My response when thinking about what can I responsibly make (which realistically could be nothing!), was an apron for use within the garden.  If I don't really need anything, I might as well have an apron specifically for gathering broad beans.  The finished apron is viewed in my reflective space (workroom window) and different perspectives and lighting conditions reveal different things about the nature of this object.  This apron gathers, but not just beans.

no screen means no post

A couple of months on and I have a new lap top and I'm officially a PhD candidate!
Having a laptop without a screen made it difficult to do anything beyond the bare minimum.  I was plugging in an old monitor which was playing havoc with my eyes, and it is all propped up on my piano as my big table has been relocated to another house.  A long story as to how all this came about, but needless to say, I haven't been playing the piano!
More updates on what I've been up to to come...
