Finally going back to reading The Craftsman (Sennett, R 2009, The craftsman, Penguin Books, London.) after I read about 1/2 of it more than a year ago! This is a seriously excellent and widely cited exploration of the motivations and knowledge within craft practice and the linkage between head and hand. Expertly crafted around a the core idea of what drives the desire to make well for it's own sake :o)
